As of 9:50 a.m. local time (0650 GMT), the Turkish lira was changing hands at 46.1550 against the US dollar, 53.3965 against the euro, and 61.8945 against the British pound.
In commodity markets, gold was trading at $4,092.10 per ounce, while Brent crude oil futures were priced at $93.40 per barrel.
