NATO Praises Turkish Paratroopers Ahead of Ankara's 2026 Summit

(MENAFN) NATO on Wednesday paid tribute to Turkish paratroopers, declaring that altitude poses no barrier to their courage — a symbolic nod ahead of the alliance's upcoming summit on Turkish soil.

The alliance shared a striking image on X — the US social media platform — capturing Turkish paratroopers mid-jump from a CN-235 transport aircraft bearing the Turkish flag.

"Fear stays on the ground, courage rises in the sky. Height is not a limit for the Turkish paratroopers. It's where freedom begins," the alliance said.

The post arrives as Turkey's capital, Ankara, prepares to host the 2026 NATO summit on July 7–8.
