Turkey’s MIT Chief Discusses Regional Security at Munich Conference

(MENAFN) Ibrahim Kalin, head of Turkey’s National Intelligence Organization (MIT), attended the Munich Security Conference over the weekend, where he met with foreign counterparts to discuss a broad range of regional and security issues, sources told reporters on Saturday.

According to the sources, Kalin’s discussions covered bilateral and regional matters, including Iran, Gaza, Syria, and North Africa. The meetings also addressed intelligence diplomacy, counterterrorism, irregular migration, and cybersecurity.

The 62nd Munich Security Conference, held from Friday through Sunday under tight security, has been described by diplomats as occurring during the most turbulent period since the end of the Cold War, marked by escalating conflicts and growing uncertainty over the future of the global order.
