NATO Praises Turkish Paratroopers in Social Media Post

(MENAFN) NATO has publicly commended Turkish paratroopers, highlighting their airborne capabilities in a message shared on social media on Wednesday.

In a post on platform X, the alliance shared an image of Turkish soldiers conducting a parachute jump from a CN-235 military transport aircraft displaying the Turkish flag. The post emphasized the training and discipline of the unit, framing it as an example of operational readiness.

The message described airborne operations as a demonstration of courage and capability, stating that altitude does not limit the effectiveness of the troops and portraying parachute deployment as part of broader military preparedness.

Turkey continues to play an active role within NATO, contributing forces to alliance missions and joint exercises across multiple domains.

The alliance also noted upcoming high-level engagement, with Türkiye set to host the NATO summit in Ankara in July 2026, where member states are expected to discuss security priorities and regional developments.
