Turkish Aser Technology Firm Secures UN Contract for RF Jammers
Aser Technology, which specializes in satellite communications and radar system production, emerged victorious in the competitive UN tender for RF jamming equipment designated for African operations, surpassing international rivals before completing all contracted deliveries.
Ertan Murat, general manager of Aser Technology, informed Anadolu that his firm manufactures tactical-grade electronic warfare jamming systems designed to counter remote-controlled improvised explosive devices and unmanned aerial vehicles.
Murat emphasized that this high-profile project has elevated the company's cutting-edge RF jamming capabilities to premier international status.
He explained the company's extensive background in the sector, stating: "We served the Turkish Armed Forces in jammer projects for over 20 years and we developed new jamming technologies that meet the conditions and needs of the real field."
Murat highlighted the comprehensive capabilities of Aser's systems, noting their broad operational scope: "Our offerings can jam effectively across the entire spectrum, including 4.5G and 5G systems, drones, and GNSS (global navigation satellite system) frequency bands, with a much wider range."
The contract represents a significant achievement for Turkish defense technology on the global stage, positioning Aser Technology as a key supplier for international peacekeeping operations requiring sophisticated electronic countermeasure capabilities against evolving threats including IEDs and drone-based attacks.
